For our one year wedding anniversary we went to NYC for the weekend! This was Lance’s first time in the Big Apple! The trip was so quick. We hit the ground running as soon as we landed in NYC and didn’t stop until it was time to go home the following Monday.

DAY 1: We made it! The first thing we did was head straight to the Charging Bull. The crowd was thick! It took us forever for Lance to make his way through the crowd so I could take his picture with the iconic bull. The next stop was brunch! I kept getting distracted on the way. I wanted to go into every shop I could. They were all calling my name. We had brunch at La Parisienne. I ordered the french toast. It was so good that Lance ordered it as his second breakfast after trying mine. We spent most of the day walking around Time Square and 5th avenue. You never know what you’ll end up seeing or doing when you’re out and about. That’s what I love about the city. We saw tons of street performers and lots of superheroes/villians. I guess we know now where they hang out when they aren’t saving the world… haha. We got tickets to New York Comedy Club for the evening. It was nice to sit down and laugh our butts off after all of the walking.

DAY 2: We were staying at World Center Hotel. It is located right beside the 9/11 Memorial. We went to see the memorial first thing that morning. I felt so many emotions looking at the tribute that honors so many lives lost. I wish we could have stayed longer to do the museum. We made plans to meet a good friend of mine for lunch. I was so happy to see Vlada! Her and her bf took us to Buvette for lunch. The parisian style cuisine and atmosphere did not disappoint! We ended up spending most of the day with them. It was great to have our own personal tour guides. 😉 Vlada took us to Central Park and showed us where the best shopping was. Time got away from us and next thing you know it was time to get ready for dinner. Lance booked us dinner reservations at The Musket Room for our (day early) wedding anniversary. We got a five course New Zealand style meal paired with different wines. Getting dressed up and going out is one of our favorite things to do. It was a romantic way to end our trip!
