BEACH WEEK WITH THE BIRTHDAY BEACH

BEACH WEEK WITH THE BIRTHDAY BEACH

Nana and I spent last week doing our thing! -shopping, beachin’ it and eating good food in between. We have been coming over to the Destin area for years now. I think our first shopping trip out there was when I was in middle school and completely obsessed with Abercrombie & Fitch. (cue the moose t-shirts & ripper jeans) I found out there was a store there and my shopping partner and I went to check it out. We’ve been hooked since! Since then so many more shops and restaurants have opened. -Good thing because they needed to keep up with our good taste. πŸ˜‰ It was Nana’s Birthday this past week and we made sure to spend the day the right way. -Eating cake and picking out the very best from Lilly Pulitzer with her favorite person. Me. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Until next time Destin. βœŒπŸ»πŸ’—πŸ›

HOME IS WHERE THE BEACHES ARE AT.

Mac and I came down for what was supposed to be a week but stayed for two. Oops! -That’s what having a good time will do to you!! I got carried away having fun with my beaches and being on the ones with white sand and emerald blue water. πŸ˜‰ My health is good to go now so I was all over the place when I was in town. I wanted to do all the things I love from back home and pick back up on photography. πŸ’—Β  Major bonus for seeing the Blues while I was in town!Β I hope everyone is having a fun & happy summer! β˜€οΈπŸ˜ŽβœŒπŸ»

FREDRICKSBURG FOR OUR 28!

FREDRICKSBURG FOR OUR 28!

The hubs and I share the same birthday. We like to try to get out and travel somewhere new for our day! We drove up to Fredricksburg, VA this year. It was a quick day trip with my loves to see what the city about an hour away is like. It was right up our alley- Sweet and charming.

I dragged the doods in and out of boutiques and antique/thrift shops. That’s basically what the town was filled with, which is fine by me!

I found some bath goodies at this shop. I’m a sucker for hand crafted bath products and this store was filled with them! They even make their products at the shop and you can watch them do it.

We stopped for a ”large snack” at this local resturant.

Mac thought his water bowl was somewhere cool to sit I guess….

Before heading out we stumbled into this book store. wow- It was adorable! It had endless books upstairs, downstairs and everywhere in between. Everytime you turned a corner you were greeted by a cozy chair begging you to sink in with a good read. We got this handsome nerd a book and t-shirt and headed back home. He’s easy to please- no fancy bath balms required.

I’m just so happy to be 28 and feeling great! For the first time in my life I’m no longer living in chronic pain. This year is going to be my best year yet. I can just feel it. πŸ’—

DINNER AT THE HALFWAY HOUSE

DINNER AT THE HALFWAY HOUSE

This isn’t your typical restaurant. The building now used for fine dining was once a halfway house. It was built in 1760 on a grant of land from George II from England and is still standing strong! It was once used as a rest stop for people traveling south of Richmond during the Revolution until the 19th century. George Washington, the Marquis de LaFayette, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Robert E. Lee, U.S. Grant, James Whitcomb Riley and others were once here.

It was pretty funny that we had dinner at there yesterday because Lance got an email at dinner that he passed (with an A I must add Β #proudwife) the second part of getting his CPA. This makes him HALFWAY through it. woot woot!

Hub’s MBA

Hub’s MBA

You’re looking at your new Lehigh University MBA graduate! He actually graduated in December but the ceremony to walk was this past monday. I didn’t take any pics of the actual ceremony {{let’s be honest- you can’t even tell who is who in rows filled with cap and gowns}} but I got some shots of Lance around campus. He’s a pretty handsome nerd if you ask me. πŸ™‚

EASTER 2019

EASTER 2019

Brunch is one of the things that the hubs and I do best –Give us some beautiful weather on an Easter Sunday and we are all in! We went to a resturant in the shockoe bottom district of Richmond. It was so nice to take a break from working on our house to celebrate Easter. Spending time together and sipping on bubbly was what our relationship was founded on and we are pretty good at it. lol

CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN RVA

I can’t slow down. My scs proceedure over a week ago has me feeling like a million bucks! Make that A MILLIONE BUCKS! πŸ˜‰ Needless to say everyday has been the best day of my life! If you know me personally then you know my happiness. I can’t stop singing, dancing and smiling! We went into Richmond today for the cherry blossom blooms! I have been obsessed with these trees since we moved to VA and I relized pink trees were a thing. lol. There is a short time frame when they bloom so you have to know when the time is to go. Peak bloom is now and I was happy I got to enjoy them with my husband, pup & Nana.
